When and where is it held?
Once a month according to IG announcement. Place Airport Grobnik – airstrip 1600m long, 30m wide.
What is a Roll Racing meeting?
Socializing and driving under controlled conditions for a limited number of vehicles. During the drive, two cars in separate lanes enter the marked direction in which the fast passage through the GOAL is measured. The driver who crossed the finish line first enters the next elimination run. Each ride takes place within ~1000m. Entry to the runway is allowed only for registered cars and a maximum of two accompanying persons Cars that are not registered must park on the road outside Grobnik Airport Number of registered drivers / cars 12 Sport – 12 Elite – 6 Unlimited (+ 6 spare cars max) Number of spare drivers / cars? 6 – with the letters six in case of cancellations, malfunctions, etc.
The registration fee for the Roll Racing Meet is 25 euros.
The total amount of the registration fee covers the cost of using the runway and the basic equipment for holding the meet There is no refund of the registration fee after payment – in case of cancellation, it can be handed over to the reserve driver / car for that day The required power of the car is at least 300hp further – regardless of the type of fuel and additional octane or NOS The vehicle must be complete, all interior, DOT tires, road registered and insured car! The ride is divided into three parts – aligning both vehicles, reaching full speed and returning Driving schedule? The classes start from Sport, Elite, to the fastest Unlimited.
Alignment for both cars must be achieved at 80 kmh before the BLUE light (tolerance is +-5 kmh)
The alignment of both cars is always towards the car in the Left lane – The Left lane sets the speed of movement at 80 km/h
Acceleration is at the BLUE light, deceleration and return is after the last RED light
2x Training RUN – Driving designed to remember the track, the position of the traffic light START TARGET and RETURN (the return is on the right side, looking towards the START, as for every further passage along the runway)
1x Qualification RUN – Dragy device measures the vehicle’s exit speed achieved within the marked part of the track START (Blue light) – FINISH (Red light) – In this way, the class of the vehicle is determined
Following are ELIMINATION races by classes – couples are determined by the computer after the qualifications and are driven within the marked part of the track START (Blue light) – FINISH (Red light) – WITHOUT PASSENGERS!
Staying and driving on the runway is at your own risk, all damage to the vehicle is borne by the owner of the vehicle.
The signatory of the application form / visitor is responsible for all damage of any kind to the runway and other property of the Grobnik Airport administration.
